Oxfam were selling Indian doorway key hooks.I took the hooks off, shortened the top 2 and took out the door parts and replaced them with the star cut-out material, washed them over with watered down off white and that was the windows sorted! For the door I took out the door parts and put tiny hinges on so that they would open.
The gateway was a weird picture frame containing a religious picture. It had dangly bits on the bottom which I made in to lanterns.

A postscript to this story:-
Today my hubby took me to the north-east to deliver the house, that way I knew it was safe and I got to meet the new owner. The moment she opened the door I was delighted that she was the one who won it.Her home is fabulous in an unusual and quirky way and is the perfect setting for the Indian house and the new owner is a truly lovely lady, so I am a "happy bunny".
