Dolls' Houses Past & Present

A website and ezine about dolls' houses: antique, vintage and modern. Plus furniture and accessories.

My first dolls' house - a "collapsible" Gee Bee...

You can see a picture of a house of this type as it originally looked together with the box it came in in Rebecca Green's article on "Gee Bee Toys and Tudor Toys of Hull" in the Sept. 2014 issue of this site's magazine. I really really wanted an antique house, not the sort of thing a child normally gets, so I remodelled this to match my dreams. A lot of what is now visible in the house was done when I was between 11 and 15, and I think I worked on it again when I was about 18 or so.
This started life as a Gee Bee DH10C "collapsible" house at Christmas 1974...
