The girls took Uncle V around to Bryan's for tea and to wash their muddy hands.
13
The girls headed back to their respective homes, and Vlad and Bryan settled down to a friendly pint and a game of chess in the kitchen.
12
It was late when they finished the game of chess - Bryan won.
3
News travels fast! Oscar was beating on the door by 8 am. the next day.
3
He was livid - was it jealousy?
4
Just then there was another knock at the door, it was Bridget.
11
Bryan placed the items on the table. "It will be something to do with your vampire friend, mark my words" said Oscar waspishly. "He'll have to go"
9
Upstairs Vlad was humming softly to himself and reading Grimms Fairy Tales.
4
There was a honk of a van horn outside and the Geek and a friend were to be seen on the back of the Triang lorry with a huge and ancient studded casket.
4
"We've come to collect Uncle Vlad" The Geek called up to Bryan who had come out onto the balcony to see what the disturbance was about.
4
They hauled the huge casket upstairs and persuaded a tearful and confused Uncle Vlad into it.
3
Help might be at hand - that sneaky Girl Guide is still about......
6
"Goodbye, Vlad" said Bryan sadly. He had really enjoyed having him to stay.
8
The Count was impatiently awaiting the arrival of the casket.
4
The Geek and his friend hustled the ragged figure up the stairs, leaving the Grimm Brothers book on the floor.
7
Vlad looked gloomily about in the cluttered attics. There was barely enough room to swing a cat'-o -nine -tails
5
After the lovely bedroom at Bryan's, this was pure hell.....
6
Without title.
4
Vlad was gloomily looking out of the attic window when his attention was caught by a small figure wearing a beret and tapping crossly on the window.
5
Eagerly Vlad clumsily clambered out of the window and began the perilous descent to the ground.
9
Bryan stood sadly looking out to sea, beyond the harbour
8
Henry was also enjoying the warm autumn sunshine
6
They walked along the quay together discussing Vlad.
7
Lazarus came and joined them on the quayside.
3
But the bird had flown deep into the forest with his faithful companions....
2
Is this the last that we shall see of Vladimir Von Velden?
5
Lazarus peered gloomily into the muddy pool.
6
Bryan was happy to be home again that evening.
12
After supper, leaving a very messy kitchen , Binkie, Bryan and Oscar retired to the drawing room.
6
No-one had yet responded to Bryan's ad, in the cake shop window, so he had popped round to the Clock House for some company.
5
Next morning, a hunting party met on Bryan's doorstep.
2
Bryan invited them in, "You might find these items useful" he said, proffering the garlic and crucifix.
3
Meanwhile, unaware of what lurked out the darkness, Esmeralda was grumbling at her husband.
6
"Well, as far as prices go"said Mrs Silver,"we are very lucky that we bought no.10a when we did.
4
As the moon rose that night, Harriet stood frozen with horror as she heard the unearthly wail from the autumn dusk outside,
4
Henry was back again at Riverside Cottage, since Edith had moved out to Knaresborough Lodge,
7
After watching Vlad shamble off into the woods, Henry poured himself a foaming pint of beer and went to turn on the radio for the evening news.
6
Just then something - he couldn't say what - flashed past the cottage and into the woods.
9
The woods were a lonely place that night but the streets of Greconville were crowded, more people had come to live there.
10
He was unaware that he was not the only one abroad in the woods that night. Armed with wooden staves a party of brave Grecons were out hunting whatever foul beast lurked in the dark woods.
1
The hunting party walked on in the dusk. They had decided to take real sheep as bait as opposed to the old sheep skin.
1
It was Halloween - not a good night to be wandering in the wild woods......
9
Evil things were let loose this eve....
6
Suddenly their way was barred by a snarling animal
4
Fritz held out the garlic and
1
(with a great fear in his heart, in case his hand was snapped off)
3
the animal leapt swiftly away....
4
Feeling very shaken, they continued on their way ..
3
Vlad was utterly terrified - he had stumbled onto a ghastly sculpture of a skeleton.
5
He stumbled away into the gathering dusk.
3
Count Von Velden was entertaining that evening.
10
Hannah had laid the Scheneegas table beautifully.
6
appreciated the epergne centrepiece.
7
They were just about to enter the dining room to commence dinner when a ragged and panting figure rushed into the room!
8
Meanwhile out in the wild woods, some absolutely horrible things were happening.....
2
A stone with a gaping mouth was hungry
2
The little group of brave huntsman Grecons were still out there....
4
Could this become their fate?
8
Meanwhile in the safe haven of no.15 the guests were about to commence dinner.
5
The cat - no-one knew where it had come from - was hustled out into the scullery, dinner commenced.
