Tiny German kitchen https://www.dollshousespastandpresent.com/apps/photos/ Tiny German kitchen "Fitted" kitchen The dresser, table, stove and shelves are all stuck down; this appears to be the original arrangement. The three wooden crocks on the shelf over the cooker, the crock on top of the dresser, the two pots on the cooker and another wooden crock on the table are all nailed down and came with the kitchen, as did the two blue chairs and the green bench. I have added all the other bits and pieces. https://www.dollshousespastandpresent.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=201966940 201966940 Coffee-time I love the painted red curtains in the window! The treen coffee set is my addition. The "plates" in the rack over the stove are antique glass buttons. The position of the fixed table is rather inconvenient for a doll who wants to get at the lower part of the dresser, but it does help to keep the glass of the window in place, which is otherwise only held by five tiny tacks at the sides and top. https://www.dollshousespastandpresent.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=201966941 201966941 Dangerous manoeuvres The doors of the dresser all open. Dolly's dress is removeable; it fastens with a tiny glass bead "button" at the back. It is home-made from a scrap of a cast-off fine cotton shirt belonging to my OH and embroidered with old silk sewing thread inherited from his Oma (grandmother). Dolly stayed briefly in my Little Grey House (wearing a different dress), but I think she fits in better here. https://www.dollshousespastandpresent.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=201966942 201966942 Tiny jugs from the fleamarket https://www.dollshousespastandpresent.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=201966943 201966943 German composition cat, age uncertain but probably not that old https://www.dollshousespastandpresent.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=201966944 201966944 Kitchen corner The two rustic blue chairs are newer than the kitchen but came with it. They are quite crudely made, but the colour provides a nice contrast to the muted green, rust and cream of the kitchen and its original fittings. The two wooden bowls on the floor are acorn cups - the upper one from an ordinary oak tree, the lower one from a red oak (quercus rubra). I love the paint finish on the walls. https://www.dollshousespastandpresent.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=201966945 201966945 Mary had a little lamb... The two green bowls were fleamarket finds, the basket is a modern dolls' house miniature and the wooden lamb is an old Erzgebirge animal. https://www.dollshousespastandpresent.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=201966946 201966946
