About Me

Busy grandma who enjoys dancing to keep fit, genealogy, miniatures, needlecrafts and reading. Love being retired from the NHS.

Although I have limited space I do have several vintage 16th scale houses that I have restored and furnished with vintage furniture.  I also have a 24th "Tudor" house which lives in the bookshelves, and one day by hook or crook, I shall own a 12th scale.

About Me

Got my first dollshouse on my sixth birthday and have been "playing" with miniature houses ever since.
My current project is a witch's house, the "Arthur" refurbished (it has wattle and daub and stone walls now).
Projects in my head (and already purchased/partly made) are: lighthouse; miniature-robot workshop (Summerhouse DHE); Malibu Beach house (DHE, to be furnished in CRM-style); Lakeside View (DHE); The Brookwood (have that for30 yrs, still not finished, keep changing the story behind it ;)) and a kit with a standard house.
And, of course, all those small projects in between, like furniture, accessories, cross stitching.......

About Me

My name is Paula I live about 30 miles North of Aberdeen pretty much in the middle of knowhere! I love my dogs as much as my minis! Originally from Bournemouth I love living up here!

I had a dolls house as a child which I adored but sadly that it long gone. I got my first grown up house about 6 years ago with some money left to me by my beloved Nan. I wanted to use it for something I would have forever and pass onto my Daughter. That house was the start of my passion for minis! I now have my orginal Manor House, a Honeychurch shop which is a Christmas shop. Also 4 witches houses but Quayside my seaside village is nearly always where you will find me! There are around 35 properties and over 100 dolls with everything from a chinese takeway to public toilets to a rest home. It fills my whole spare room and I just love it!! I am quite sure my village would never have grown quite so much if I couldn't share it with people online! I have recently discovered the joy of vintage Dolls houses and its opened up a whole new world to me and I am thoroughly enjoying it!! :)

About Me

I live in a small country village in the middle of England.  Or "Back of beyond"  as my Mum would say!  Having lived in the centre of London all her life!!!!!

Downsized real human house in 2011 - four doors down and across a road - from a large, draughty, 300 year old Recotory to a 30 year old cosy warm house!!!

Have  two cats and, so far 5, miniature houses. 3 - 1:12 and 2 - 1:16.  More on the way (2017).

About Me

Hi, my name is Freda and it is a pleasure to meet you all!  I am happily married to Dave, and we enjoy our home, and keeping it nice, as well as having holidays.

Having retired from the Court Service (a former Court Shorthand Writer and PA) and NHS (Secretary to a Consultant in Palliative Medicine), I am now free to pursue my hobbies, which includes collecting vintage children's books (particularly early Hodder & Stoughton 'Famous Five' Books) and, of course, dolls' houses.  I am also an avid reader, and keen gardner.  I enjoy studying German and keep my skills honed by contact with a German uncle, who does not speak English!

About Me

I'm an artist and ocassional teacher with a lifelong love of well crafted toys. I'm married to a  museum exhibit designer and we have  a 22 yo son and 18 yo daughter. All of them are wonderfully supportive of my habit of rescuing animals and houses.  We live in the US ( Georgia), .

Currently we are rescuing the house we live in, since an 80 foot tree fell on it. two years ago. It's never fun (or fast) to remodel a house while living in it, especially when it wasn't planned, but we're enjoying the process. The irony is that my husband had just given me the dilapidated Christian Hacker house you see in my profile photo, and I was expecting to be doing the same sort of work, but  on it. This turned out to have some unexpected benefits.  It's allowed me to research Christian Hacker and resources, more thoroughly than I'd likely have had the patience for otherwise ( I was very excited about this house!). And, it's influenced our house design too. I love Christian Hacker's  strong and eccentric color schemes - the ones he used in his catalogues, especially. Those colors have made their way into our kitchen plans, and in smaller doses, into the rest of the house. In a strange sort of way, the two have become entwined.

About Me

I am a very kind and generous person but I have an irrepressible naughty streak! What I think tends to come out of my mouth!

I`ve had a big interest in dolls houses since having my childhood homemade one in the 60`s, it since died of woodworm!

I have made a few houses from scratch to my own design as well as "doing up" several. I like a house that I can do a bit of work to!
