Hi All,

Just to remind anyone in the north of England that it’s Leeds Dolls’ House Fair (aka Pudsey DH Fair) this Saturday (20th April) and that this year we, Dolls’ Houses Past & Present, will have a stall selling lots of lovely vintage and pre-loved minis which have been kindly donated by members to raise funds toward our new website. The stall will be run by myself and Brooksey and we’d love to see you there! xx

Here is a link to the site for the fair where you can find all the details:

If you can’t make it to the fair but would like a donate, this is a link to the fundraising page:

Thank you so so much to everyone who has donated so far :-D

Well, what a successful day Brooksey and I had at the fair - the Dolls’ Houses Past & Present stall made the amazing sum of £1,060! This will be added to the total on our FundRazr page tomorrow  and will bring our grand total to £9,660.

We can’t thank everyone who donated items and those who came and purchased on the day enough - we had a super day and the sum raised was beyond our expectations.

Knowing that we're repeating ourselves, and that some of you will have received this by email, here's the text of the Update I've left on the Fundrazr page this morning:

"Good morning from Brooksey at around 10.30am in the UK.

Zoe and I are ecstatic at the amount of money raised at The Leeds Dolls House (Pudsey) Show last Saturday (April 20th) - £1,060! We'd received loads of donated miniatures beforehand, and more were brought to the stall on the day. We had a phenomenally busy morning and the two of us would have been struggling to cope with the demand without the help of Zoe's husband, Steve - so huge thanks to him. At times we could barely restock the stall fast enough, things were selling so quickly! After lunch was quieter, so Steve was able to escape. By the end of the day we only had two lots left over: five pieces of Triang QA upholstered furniture - a sofa, three armchairs and a footstool - which we'd priced at £50 for the set, and a Tudor-style 1:12 double bed by retired British artisans Susan and Sandy Eismont, at £15. Packing-up didn't take very long!

So a great big thank you, again, to everyone who donated miniatures for us to sell and to all those who turned up on the day to buy. Some of you did both, of course - including one contributor who bought back one of her own donations!

The fantastic amount raised at Pudsey does mean that we now have £2000 towards the cost of adding photo tagging to the new site. I'm confident that the remaining amount (approx £1000) will be raised, so the time has come to ask Purple Creative Studios to add that function to the new site, so we would have it at its launch!"

If anyone wants to buy our leftovers, they are still available for sale!

I donated the QA set, but Zoe has it now. The only photos I have were taken a few years ago with the suite in situ in Ketterley Manor. It can be seen here:

I would say that it is in very good condition for its age (about 85 years), with no apparent deterioration since the pictures were taken. (The furniture has not been on display since the end of January 2016, but in storage). The fabric is undamaged, and all the legs are intact. No sign of moth or woodworm! If these photos aren't enough for you, Linda, let me know, and I'll ask Zoe to send you some. It would have to be by email, because neither of us can post photos on site!
