Jenny and I visited Ilkley Toy Museum yesterday and were VERY pleasantly suprised by the quality and range of the dolls' house collection there. I can thoroughly recommend a visit to anyone who finds themself in the area.

I have posted on my blog today about thee truly amazing shops on display there:

Great to hear, Zoe - and to see those amazing shops! I will update our Places to Visit listing, now that we know more about the collection there. The museum's website has photos of two shops and one dolls house, but doesn't say how many others there are!

Fabulous amounts of dogs and dolls in the Ilkley Museum. Have they put them all together or were they in the collections originally?

I don't know, Rosemary. We only had an hour there before it closed as we popped in as an afterthought on our way back from so Hoghton Tower, so I didn't get to read all of the information and ask questions - next time I go I will make sure I have lots of time to satisfy my curiosity!

Thank you, Zoe, for the delightful blog.  It is amazing - all those tiny items.  What tiny dolls, what a beautiful glass dog, what fabulous everything.
