I have started a new blog (well, cannibalised an old one really), if anyone fancies taking a look.

Wonderful name for your new blog - put a smile on my face at 07:00 which is a jolly good start to the day I say!

Tried to leave a comment on it: it's either in moderation or the system ate it?  Lovely figures all round but the faces on the terrible two are tremendous and I'm somewhat concerned by the look of stress on the woman appearing just before them too ;)

Definitely the most miserable Grecon ever. I wonder why.

The Granny in black could be Awful Edith's sister! The mother of Oscar, my bouffant haired antique dealer. She has a slatternly black dress and superior expression. I think the faces are painted by the same hand. Edith has Melon feet.  Lovely haul, Zoe, you lucky dog!

The sad grey suited Grecon is one of my favourites, so smart and the twins are adorable, all lovely.

Fab Grecons Zoe, and I love the transformation of the Fat Lady, or rather the Lady in a Big Dress.

I did specify moderation but there are no comments awaiting moderation so I'm not sure what has happened. What is it with me, blogs and comments?! I will try and get to the bottom of it but thanks for trying to leave a comment!

I always have problems on sites with cookies and that's most of them, they just cut out.

I have the same with mine and it's a dfferent host.  I usually remember to copy what I've typed in before hitting 'post' but forgot this time.  I do this 'cos it seems to work with perseverence if you keep trying (with both of the blog hosts sites)  Some strange but common glitch?

I love those Grecons! Faces are so expressive without much detail - quite an art!

That's just what I think about their faces, Mehitabel.

I've added a couple more blogs this week since Jenny and I visited Wallington Hall on Tuesday and spotted one or two interesting pieces of Elgin for Triang pieces, as well as other bits and pieces.

Lovely blogs and photos Zoe, I especially like the pictures in "Placing and pondering" - and that piece of garish "restoration" in Hammond Hall is astonishing, given the quality of the house.

I love the Lantern in the porch of Agar Hall - where did you find it? I tried to post a comment on your blog but not sure if it "took".

Thanks, Edel, the 'restored' bed was awful and stood out like a sore thumb. I am still considering emailing the NT but I'm not sure how much notice they take of such emails, though it is maybe worth flagging it up anyway as it will only take five minutes.

Thanks, Rosemary. The lantern was a very cheap buy from Pudsey last November, I think it's actually an old Christmas tree decoration but the minute I saw it I knew it would be perfect for the porch.

Lovely blog!  I've visited it twice.  I love the plant stand in the hallway.  And the whole entrance of that house ( sorry, can't remember names from one minute to the next and I'm not a collector of old dollshouses) is beautiful.

Zoe, I think the lantern you bought at Pudsey was from me and I recognise the 2 black beds with pink coverlets. I made those long ago in the 1970s for the first Gottschalk I owned. Hope to see you again on Saturday at Pudsey. Just getting ready with all the sorting and pricing.
