About Me

Hi!

I like to restore old dolls houses and to furnish them with old furniture. I live in France, I'm French, and my preferred period is the after war, until the seventies. My dream would be to find a Triang dolls house in France (I dream ...) and also a Vero dolls house, a bungalow. In my collection, I'm very proud of my Tadie Muz dolls house, a french dolls house, from 1968.

I have a website, where all my dollshouses are shown. My "Maison de Tadie Muz" is there:

Bonjour Madame,
Cordialement

Hi Beatrice,
I live in Basse Normande in a village called Le Mesnillard. We have been here 6 years and absolutely love it. We wouldn't go back to the UK as everyone here is so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. My husband speaks excellent french and mine is coming along. Where in France do you live? This seems a friendly site and we all have the same thing in common.

Yes, that is a very cool cat but it would be nice to get some furniture back into the house.

Hi Beatrice - I don't just go to Aups in summer, I make about 5 visits each year but never go in August, only July as it's too crowded then. One day I shall be moving more furniture and belongings to France and I shall bring dollshouses & at least 1 TRiang so you can visit and see them.
The lovely sink came with the house, it's my favourite item I think.
I love the little people in one of your houses, they are really cute. How many houses do you have? Frances

Hi Béatrice, we all seem to have been having a busy summer I read that you were moving your house about. not sure if it was on here or face book. But I did see on one of your blogs that you had a favorite picture of Carl Larsson I have been waiting to finish my house before I told what I was doing. The two houses have taken me over two months to complete, so I'm much relieved now there done. I did come over to france for a short break to bring my nieces boys home from their summer hols here. But it was to short a time to make a jurney east to you but perhaps one day. Hope you like my "Mama's room"!

Hi again eatrice, I too have a cat (who ignores the parrots, thankfully) she only has one eye but takes the utmost delight in trying to climb into a dolls house room, to say nothing of my cupboards full of bits and bobs. She rarely knocks anything over even tho there is little enough room for her to move. It's fascinating to watch her little paws between the tiny furniture, my heart in my mouth of course. I bet yours do the same sometimes. Angela

Hello Beatrice, We met at the gathering the night before the Cobham Fair, I sat next to you , but somehow didn't get much chance to talk to you, for which I apologise. Hope we meet up again at another fair. Angela

Hi Beatrice, you need to log out then in again, you've been logged in for days and it took me ages to find you, you're on page 3 now and I wanted to know what you are up to!Actually I got a bit worried because I thought you hadn't logged in for ages and may be ill!It is weird because I rarely log out and sometimes Istay logged in and other times I find myself logged out and I didn't do it.
I think you have more comments on your profile than anyone else on this site!!
