About Me

Hi I am Noelene from New Zealand. I have been collecting old dolls and dolls houses for over 40 years.

I don't have any very old houses, but have five made between 1950's and the 1970's, my favourite being my 1970's Lundby which I bought complete from a lady who had had it from childhood. I also have two Triang houses which I really like, a Petite Princess house and a GeeBee Cottage. I have a house I made and furnished from just a bare shell, a house which I bought from New Zealander Carole Perry, which has my few old bits and pieces in it plus several pieces, mainly in the dining room, made by Carole in the late 1970's early 1980's and a shop made by another New Zealand maker, Robert Hutching, which I bought in an local internet auction and which I need to restore.

You too, Noelene. We had a magnificent thunder storm here last night so I am not holding my breath on the weather front for the New Year! I thought you would probably have run into Diana or Peggy at some stage, they seem to know almost everyone!

Hi Jane, Good to hear from you and to know that there are other Kiwis on here. My daughter Fiona also is on here - in fact she found the site first. I remember Diana from many years ago when I visited the Wairarapa. Look forward to to talking to you again and I hope you have a great New Year.

Hi, Noelene, I'm another Kiwi! I live in the Wairarapa and belong to the Wairarapa Dolls and Bears Club with my fellow collector Robin (who is also on here) and Diana and Peggy, who are not on here but have also been collecting for 40 years! We have another Kiwi, Sharee, who is in Taranaki so there is quite a group of us now. Your CEX is lovely, it is hard to find things over here, isn't it, but that is why ebay is so much fun (and fatal!) Look forward to chatting to you in the New Year.
