Confirming the house was built some time in the 1950s - probably around 1957 (thank you Rosemary and Zoe) for helping to date.

What feels right IS right, don't you think, Freda? You are doing marvellously in your approach

Thank you Maddy.

Hi, Maddy - lovely to hear from you. If I had got this Stockbroker first (before my other houses) I would undoubtedly have taken the bull by the horns and immediately removed the somewhat 'tatty' curtains, old film in the windows, etc.,, but this time, I can't bring myself to do it. From the outside of the house, they look fine and match the 'ageing' appearance of the house generally. This Stockbroker is telling me (and I am somewhat impulsive) to slow down.

Hello Freda, I'm glad you have got this beautiful house.. You may know I am not an old dollshouse enthusiast myself but I love to see what others do and think about their renovation.

I caught sight of the poor, frazzled curtains in one of the pictures. Although they are undoubtedly original, I do hope you will make fresh ones. I think, sometimes, that the original owners might prefer their beloved houses to be refreshed with new, but in keeping, decor. We all have different ideas, don't we?

Thank you for showing your great purchase. Looking forward to seeing more as your work progresses.
