they carried it out and loaded it onto a huge perambulator (as Maids, Cedric wondered why they owned such a thing...)
and followed by a quartet of pale grey Scotties, who were feeling the cold and not their usual jet black selves, they all set off down the snowy hill.

Well, if you have a bottom storage unit, instead of a bottom drawer, then you have room to make provision for the after effects of marriage, including a small person or two, I suppose.
Love the Scotties!

Oh, I can see that Blue looks a bit grubbier here.

The little Scotties originally came from DHP&P member Comfort in the USA as a kind gift. They seem to have set up home with the unconventional girls - perhaps not the best owners since what they really like is a cosy home with a nice hearth rug.

Where did those Scotties come from? Do they belong to the bridesmaids, I wonder. A pram is an obvious choice for transport, to the female mind, I think.

Lovely scene Rosemary.
When I was a girl not-so-maiden ladies used to sell rather doubtful goods from ancient prams on Henry Street in Dublin - the prams had the great advantage that the ladies could move on very smartly whenever a Garda (policeman) appeared on the street.
