Does anyone have a picture of the earlier version of a number 4? The auction catalogue described it as the pre-1906 version. (I would add a photo to the site but as Imdo not have a PC I can’t.)

I'm sorry that we've gone off-topic in the duplicate thread you posted to this in General Discussion, Frances. It doesn't look as though any of the G & J Lines enthusiasts who are contributing there to the discussion on the site's woes are able to help. Have you tried contacting Marion Osborne?
